Zurich at Night

On business travel sometimes the only time to get shots is at night so the tripod is my friend. This was from a series of long exposure shots on the Zurich waterfront. Getting good at night shots (which I haven’t perfected) is a matter of trial and error and a lot of thrown away shots. Don’t worry, bits are cheap and with Lightroom, it is easy to go through and just purge out the ones that didn’t work. As it gets really dark, focus is a problem. Once the autofocus stops working go to manual focus. And if your camera supports it, use the function to zoom the viewfinder to see if you are getting the focus right. In this case, I was trying to get the focus on the clock tower.
